What I am asking about is the outside of the pusher

Where it is fluted to match the crown. On some other pieces, that sort of fluted tube around a pusher indicates a screw-down to lock the pusher (I'm thinking about the chronograph pushers on a BP Leman or the like). I was wondering if that is the case here, or if the fluted tube is purely decorative
