What do you expect from Harry Winston in 2011?
We have just entered 2011 and time is coming to express our wishes for the new year.
First of all, the context seems to be very favourable for Harry Winston: an efficient production facility with the manufacture at Plan-Les-Ouates, a strategy, an ambition... everything is combined to get a successful year. But, as we say in the Rugby game, the try has to be converted.
We already had a first preview of the 2011 novelties with the Histoire de Tourbillon 2:
This watch is a perfect example of the Harry Winston capacity to propose a very uncommon high-end watch.
But of course, more will come and I expect a lot of surprises at the Basel Fair.
I already wrote it several times but I take this opportunity to do it again: I would like to see the case of the Midnight watches (Chronograph or Minute Repeater) used in the context of a more affordable watch, for example a nice three hands one. I find it very elegant, slender... and its size (42mm) perfect for my wrist !
My other wish would be to see another beautiful handwind caliber like we were able to see last year with the Z6, the Alarm watch:
And what about the 11th Opus ? With the Opus collection, I never have wishes... I want to be surprised ! Innovation and originality, that's the recipe to create an Opus watch ! Of course, I have no idea of the watchmaker who is involved in this project.

As with every year
