Thanks for the update.
Unlike our learned friend, ThomasM, I am unafflicted by minute repeaters. My first substantial post on PuristS was about minute repeaters and could have had me banned-for-life if taken the wrong way.
Luckily, PuristS recognised my ignorance and answered my questions.
Two points:
1) Mayhaps the 'empty' volume in the case is the reason for the small movement, thus allowing 'air' for sound reasons?
2) The new dial looks better and the missing numerals seems 'logical' for a striking timepiece. The raison d'etre for a minute repeater at midnight is to hear the time and not to see it.
The 2009 dial looks 'hesitant' but the 2013 dial looks 'grown up'....more refined and confident.
