Harry Winston Baselworld 2012 Highlights: part 2/4

I propose you to continue to browse the highlights of the Baselworld collection of the previous year. If I started this  flashback with the Ocean Sport collection, the second stage is dedicated not to a new collection but to a redesigned case.

Actually the Premier case was during a long time the flagship of the Harry Winston collection, maybe the easiest way to recognize a Harry Winston watch.

But after several years, its daring design needed to be updated. That was the objective of the new Premier Excenter Time Zone: to propose a new Premier case with softer lines and  a less radical style.

The case diameter is 41mm and it proposes a diameter/thickness ratio quite high which gives a slender side:



Even if the new case keeps the traditional elements at 6 and 12 o'clock inspired by the arches of the Boutique in NY, it is without any doubt more consensual than the previous version.



The watch by itself features a large date display and a retrograde second timezone hand. Retrograde hands are part of Harry Winston DNA and it is logical to see such system in a watch wich symbolizes the beginning of the life of a new case.

The base movement comes from GP. I think that a solid caseback would have been a better option:



I could appreciate the originality of these watches and their comfort on the wrist thanks to the moving lugs:



Between the two versions, my fav version by far is the black one, much more exciting than the grey one.
