New to me, a 70's Gyromatic.
This was delivered today, not that I'm in town to enjoy it. I've been looking for a wearably large vintage GP for a long time (new ones are sadly out of budget). The hands on this one impressed me most, and how well they go with the blue dial.

The FHF 905 ebauche is nicely upgraded with a micro regulator and KIF shock protection, and I've always enjoyed the look of gold-plated movements with black-filled engraving. This one is too late for gyrotrones or Community of Precision Watchmaking AS movements (though it is a goal to own examples of AS1687's used by all participants in their development), but it's the my first movement from Fontainemelon. And at 38mm wide, it's not too dainty on my massive wrist.
If anyone knows the reference number or has a catalog listing, I'd be ecstatic to receive it.

That one looks great. Love the blue dial! I don't have the reference for this one. But from the movement GP 461 / FHF 905, the dial and the case shape I would say 1970 or early 1970s. Once you receive you watch, have a look between the lugs at 6. There yo...

But I found it on the back--very faint from prior polishing--not between the lugs at 6. The front of the case is crisp and original so at least the polishing was kept to the back. The hands and markers are even better than I expected, with clean and brigh...
Very nice! :)

Yes, GP changed from having the refrence number between the lugs to the case back sometimes in the 1970s. From the ref number I guess your Watch is from the mid/late 1970s. Will check if I can find out anything about your watch. But fear that anything fro...
