The comparison between the Sport Evo and the Yachtmaster is . . .

 


. . . an apt one as they're natural competitors with highly similar extrinsic characteristics. It's highly unlikely that either would ever find use in their ostensible role for water-sports; frankly, most dive watches are never used for anything other than desk-diving, so I never feel the slightest bit hypocritical when I'm asked to justify my preference for the Sport Evo. This is not to suggest a complete indifference to Rolex as there are some, notably the Milgauss, that I would consider as suitable for my own collection; when comparing 'dress' dive watches, though, in my humble opinion, the SE offers a higher level of visual refinement than the YM, and is consequently preferable in it's intended environment.
