Thanks for the warm welcome!

Thank you everyone for the gracious welcome!

Wow, Art!!  That is quite a line-up you have there.

As far as what attracted me to the new Karree perpetual, there were a number of points.  First off, I already had this watch:

So, as much as I like the appearance of the new Senator PC, I felt that getting it would give me a watch that was too similar to the one I already had.  Secondly,  I had always wanted a rectangular shaped watch, but I never really found a shape that I liked.  Most of them, like the previous Karree, appeared more "boxy" and had sharper angular lines.  I realize that for many, that is actually what attracts them to the "classic" Karree, but this just did not fit my personal tastes.  I wanted a somewhat larger, rectangular watch that had smoother edges and lines.  This shape fit the bill perfectly for me.  I also wanted a watch with a second hand, and not having one would have been a deal breaker for me.  That is another reason I would prefer this model over the previous one.  Furthermore,  I had always thought that GO had the best designs for the PC.  I preferred the window openings rather than the pointers, and with their design, there is a lot of information displayed in a legible, uncluttered fashion.  To me, it not only had the perpetual calendar complication but it had the added bonus of having the best (IMHO) large date function along with the moon phase.  This was pretty much a "grail" watch for me, and was planned to be a keeper, so I opted for the gold case.  I chose the lighter dial rather than the black because I felt it looked a bit more classy.  The black dial gave it a more casual appearance.

In building my collection, one of my goals was to have more versatile pieces and to remove redundancy.  So this watch can serve as my gold watch, perpetual calendar watch, and my rectangular shaped watch.  My first GO can serve as a more casual chronograph, which could also be somewhat dressy, and with the round Senator shape and design that I like.  In a few days, I have incoming the GO sport evo on bracelet with the silver face and bezel.  That can then serve as my sporty watch.  So with these 3 watches, I feel that I have most of my bases covered so I won't really have a big need to add any pieces.  I'm sure I will as I see more and more things that I like, but it wouldn't be a necessity.

Thanks again for the warm acceptance!
