Regarding the strap, Richard . . .
. . . it was sourced from a prominent French strap maker around the time I'd sent my steel Karree perpetuals for service. Shortly after this strap was received, a local source for composite straps featuring shell cordovan as the lining appeared, so I decided to go that route instead. When I saw Frederick at a G O event back in November wearing his silver dial Karree, any thought of keeping this particular strap as a spare vanished.
