need help
Hello Folks,
I have been an admirer of GO watches since I met Dr. No in one of the LA GTG a few years ago. But generally I have been a silent observer of the forum, admiring the wonderful pictures from Jocke and considered opinions from many regulars on this forum.
Recently I have been thinking about some watches that can worn with jeans but can occasionally pass off with a suit. I have 8in wrists and can handle a bigger watch. My grail is the Royal Oak but it happens to be well out of my price range at this time. GO Sport Evolution (either the time only or the dual time), IWC Ingenieur (time only) or JLC Master Compressor GMT are the sorts of watches that I am thinking of and would like to learn more about each of them - and specifically about the GO (since I love the big date as well as the fine finishing).
* Have the Sport Evolution ever been made without the seconds explicitly written on the bezel?
* Is the GMT a discontinued model? I did not find it on the GO website although I have seen the model previously.
* I have also seen a watch which had the cities of the world on the bezel (sort of manual world timer). Is this model discontinued?
* Can you tell me how the watch wears with a bracelet?
* Could somebody PM me the list price of the Sport Evolution series or at least the few models mentioned above?
I appreciate the input and thanks in advance.
J.

. . . my apologies for any delay in reply. I've been sidelined by an episode of gout recently, and not getting any better. Let me try to answer your questions in order. First question: the seconds hash marks have always appeared on the dial of the current...

I was recently considering one myself, and though I cannot answer your questions through personal experience, I can pass along some information owners gave me. I was told the watch itself "wears large" for 42mm, because of its long lugs, but that the natu...

I love my Sports Evo. Love the look, love the finish, love that it makes Rolex owners jealous. The bracelet is wonderful - the micro adjustments make it very comfortable. It is, however, very heavy. At first, I wasn't fond of the heft but now I'm very use...
thanks.....

Thanks watch rube. My impression was that it was heavy but because it seems to be well distributed in the watch and strap, I didnt mind it. Certainly a change from my other watches. J.
