I noticed the synchronization as well...
We did not plan that at all, and it was purely by coincidence that both watches were 1 second apart. I'm sure we both will swap watches here and there, especially the perpetual calendars. We are fortunate that we only live a couple of hours drive from each other, so swapping will not be a big issue.
