used by GO twice for two limited edition series. The first series is "1845 Last Edition Meissen" and the second series is this "Wempe 100 Anniversary Edition".
However, if you look at this "caliber 49" equipped by "Wempe 100 Anniversary" carefully, you can see clearly that it only has ONE screw-mounted gold chaton rather than FIVE screw-mounted chatons that Caliber 49 normally has. Why?
We may recall that a few years ago UNION Glashutte launched its high-end series of wristwatches called Julius Berger series and it equipped with a quality manual winding movement Caliber 30. Coincidentally, this Wempe 100 Anniversary Caliber 49 looks exactly the same as Caliber 30 except the engraved balance cock.
So from my personal point of view, only "1845 Last Edition Meissen" uses the truly original caliber 49 with hand-engraved balance cock.
Hope the above help.
