After my last visit to NYC, I visited an AD in SoHo based on the lighting conditions to see this beauty:
I would truly love to add this to the collection:
But it’s the classic “heart vs. head” battle:
My heart says to “pull the trigger:”
But my head says “Are you crazy? At that price, get the ALS 1815 Up/Down:”

I would go with the ALS for a more classic size.
This watch looks large on your wrist and the date looks odd on a watch like this. For the ALS, I would reccomend a Richard Lange in Pt or WG. Free sprung balance, in-house hairspring and the movement stops when the spring force is below the chronometry st...

Agreed but that version is now replaced with a blue dial variant which is also nice...
And, for some reason, the case thickness varies between the newer silver dial and the rest in the lineup. Silver dial: 11.4 mm The rest: 12.6 mm ...

Both this GO and the Lange are great watches. I like this new version with the blue indicies.
I had the LE edition of this GO in my collection and let it go last year because I was not wearing it as much as I should…

I like it very very much. The head vs. heart is a tough one. Generally, the heart knows. Having said that, I always make a decision on the second viewing, just to check if the heart went a little overboard the first time.

Originally, I saw it at an AD up on the Upper East Side. But it was much darker in there and gave off the appearance of yellow gold: The one at SoHo really made a difference!🥂 ...
I know exactly what you mean. I've seen pictures where I say is this steel or yellow gold!
I've always felt that slightly overcast daylight is best to view a piece.
