Yep, I can remember this one!

 

It was the time, when it was not so sure, in what direction the size of the watches will go. At least for GP ;-)
When I bought my 7100 Seahawk it came with 38mm (still small for a dive watch). The next Seahawk model had again only 36mm diameter!! but it was only for a very short time in production. (At that time, they called it Seahawk II. A couple of years later, when GP remembered the Seahawk model and released a new Seahawk, they ignored that they branded the last one already Seahawk II. So it became Seahawk II again... ;-)
I guess this is also the reason why yours is only 34mm and why it has just a very small production count. Because the numbers do not represent a limitation. It represents actually the number sold! smile
On your model I do not have more information. I guess there is not so much more information available, because there is not so much more to tell about...

as a GP fan you come to THE right place. The 7710 Chrono is a very nice and as you said rare GP. It shares its movement with the Richeville 2710 from the same period. Hope to see more posts and more of your GP collection very soon here. Best, CC

The size of this GP doesn\'t shock me on your wrist. The shape/design of the lugs and the size of the buttons give it a bigger importance IMHO. Best wishes Alkiro
