Friends, Time for Part II of our little series of underappreciated Girard-Perregaux watches from the 1990s. In Part II we will look closer at the Girard-Perregaux Laureato 8010. You may argue that with the re-launch of the Laureato in the current collecti...

Always drawn to this style in GP......

Another great review and a very interesting watch to consider. Of course, the drawback to this theme is that there is a natural tendency to wait until all parts are finished to evaluate......leaving the best to last theory.

Thank you, Baron.

I can see the drawback, but then... no need to limit to only one not sure I ordered the Parts with a "best-for-last"

Yes, the 8010 is for sure a future classic (if not already)! Please keep up the great work! Best Blomman

My pleasure, Blomman

I would agree that the blue Clous de Paris dial is the nicest example. You can really see that GP have done a very nice job of retaining what was great about this 90s Laureato with the new ones of the last couple years.

Merci, my friend. And I agree, the new Laureato

.. on a personal account, this very 8010 in blue is still on my list, but last time I rather went for my blue choice of 2018, the VC Overseas, despite it‘s price-tag.. But honestly, a certain „itch“ does not go away, it‘s still in my head.. Although I exp...

Thanks HS, glad you liked my little write-up

and I can poison you a little bit with these little 90s marvels. As you said, finding a good steel 8010 with blue dial is quite a challenge...but with some patience and some luck... Just once you see one, don't hesitate! Best, CC
