Wanted to share my original 1945 model 5420
Aug 23, 2018,18:14 PM
Bought this one few years ago and love it! Only found 4 other ones on the web.
There was a question related to model 5420 vs 5080 as they are almost identical two tone watches. I'm not sure I can contribute much, but the movement seems to be slightly differently marked - 5420 has '2 adjustments' import marks, and a very slightly later serial number. Could it be the 5080 was slightly earlier and for Euro market, while 5420 was the exported model?

I collect mostly vintage watches, and as such have a few GPs as well. Still very new ti this brand, but I like the style and quality very much and plan to acquire few more pieces. As of right now, I only have this one, Gyromatic 39 with diamond dial, Orig...

I noticed the spare dial. Did you change the dial? What's the story?

Hi Martin, in the forum we refrain from discussing pricing in general. In this particular case, as this watch is quite rare and only one comes for sale very rarely, there really is no data that is objective. CC
Very nice!

About the "Adjusted 2 positions". I have seen several cases where "Adjusted 2 positions" or even "Unadjusted" was used on US export movements. Brands used these markings even if the movements were adjusted to avoid additional tax charges. Best Blomman
