I can't help but show some fresh shots (again) of the Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945, the original re-edition from 1995, Ref 2595.
I think this is a truly amazing watch that won my heart by storm.
The curved lins, the pink gold and black dial...
The solid case back with engraving and the moderate size.
Just loving it.

as far as the original 2595 is concerned, it was only available in precious metal. Steel version was introduced 2 years later with the 2594 housing an automatic movement. Best, CC

even it "only" meant modernising a 50 year old watch design.
