Finally had the opportunity to see this in the flesh at an AD:
I had mixed feelings from the press releases. Yet, I was surprised by how much I actually liked it on the wrist:
The Sunray grey dial with the Clous de Paris pattern has a bluish tint under certain lighting conditions:
The signature tonneau case profile has been slightly altered with a wider stance at the start of the bracelet, which not only has a nice taper, but also a micro-adjustment feature:
Proof that a manufacturer can still produce thin cases in today’s modern manufacturing:
A shot of the new GP4800. There is no indication of limited edition anywhere of the piece:
Overall, I was quite impressed. Now, I’m hoping for some upcoming all-steel iterations!🤞GP would not have invested all the research and development of the new GP4800 with just this one release!🤷

I'm a bit opposite...
...I really liked what I saw in photos and reviews, etc. 2-tone watches appeal to me. I like this more than any other Laureatos I've seen. Would be nice to try one on, but he price is a bit steep...
Yes, like most pieces today, the price is tough to swallow!

I think Marc said that this watch doesn't feature solid gold elements, just capped gold, if my memory serves me right... So waiting for an all steel variant seems a good idea! Best, Emmanuel

But GP’s website doesn’t seem to confirm that it is only capped gold. It mentions 3N yellow gold.

It looks like their custom mix...kind of like Honey Gold or Breguet's new gold (which looks great, btw)...
...so now it's just a matter of 'Is it solid gold' or not...

Yes, and GP's website seems to say it's solid 3N Gold (cf. screenshots). So I wonder if Marc is right or not.
I have an Alpine Eagle, so the Laureato isn't on my personal radar! ...
