Round 3 - the 2006 WWTC models

Jul 22, 2006,02:14 AM

G'day,

i?ll add some more in a message to this thread; the 2006 WWTC is changed in 7 details, mostly the case, pushers, bezel, strap and the dials. While earlier iterations focussed on the sportive aspect, the 2006 lineup does emphasize the classic elegance of GP?s wildly successfull world timer.

A good example is the brand new ruthenium dial, exclusively for WG models:

For comparison, the first prototype of the very special "Swiss Edition".
The proto comes with an "old" case, where you may see the difference. The final pieces will come with the new case and make for a limited edition of only 50 units in steel, to be sold exclusively in GP?s own boutique in Gstaad and some few assorted retailers (with some hints this already being sold out, almost immediately after being presented first):

There are new dials for the Rose Gold models either, which add to the elegance of this watch:

I?m particularly fond of the ruthenium/WG and the two-tone/RG models. And of course the "Swiss Edition", which i find a very special watch.
But then, i really believe GP hit home and there?s a model for every taste!

Greetings from Germany,

Peter
