Appologies for fuzzy photo. I am researching this recent acquisition. Supposed to be 1938 vintage, 14kt case probably made in USA to house the imported GP "unadjusted" 17J movement, caliber 86 in very good condition, good timekeeper (less than secs/day). My watch reference book has a similar watch shown as dating 1948. Was it possible for the same style to be produced over 10 years or more around WW2? The number on the movement is 28xx. I understood this number to be a batch number and not a serial number. Any information would be well received.
I have a small collection of vintage and older watches of various makes where I also kept almost every watch I own from 1950's childhood. New to GP this year, I love the variety and workmanship. Many thanks from me as a new member to this forum.
