Need advice on purchasing the 7000 model
Hi,
I am planning to purchase GP 7030 (the Chronograph version of 7000 series), this model is supposedly has been discontinued for at least 5-6 years now.
The current owner claimed that he has never serviced the watch and it's still running ok, though he thinks it's time for a regular service with GP or any other watch repair places.
I am really interested in getting this watch since it looks super gorgeous, and the price is very attractive. My concern is the cost of having the watch serviced.
Does anyone have any ideas how much or approximately (perhaps email me) it would cost to have this watch serviced by GP ?
Is it a good idea to have it done by a local watch repairman ?
I certainly don't want to pay too much money for an old watch. In other words, I don't want to pay double the price of the watch just to have it repaired or checked by GP. It won't make sense anymore, I'd rather buy newer models with some wrist time left before a complete 5-year overhaul.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thank you
