I think both is perfect, dark brown is very nice too, i call this the italian combo (black/brown) . Important is the high qualtiy of the strap, the watch wins a lot.
I dont see straps with the stich (pic), this is not enough qualtiy. Needs something more.

You're right.
Straps with a stich are to simple. More for bigger and sports watches. Found my black alligator. Will fix it tomorrow.
