Girard Perregaux

Friends, One year has passed since I got the Girard-Perregaux 1966 Enamel dial. A wonderful watch that got much more wrist time this year than any of my watches normally get! To celebrate this I Changed the strap on my watch, from black alligator with sti...

I think it gives it a very warm appeal. However, don't throw away the black one, I think it also fits well in a more formal setting

The strap had to go through this year - formula, drool, sun, sweat.... Good to have options! Best Blomman

But the strap change does modify the character of the watch. The black is more classically formal, while the brown is more \'Italian\'.

Than in the Anglo-Saxon environment. Starting with the acceptance of brown shoes to go with navy suits, to - as in your case - brown watch straps to go with the combo

They are certainly underrated in many countries

Excellent, blomman, I prefer this chestnut-reddish brown strap to the original black one, because it match and highlight the dial red accents. Now, can I suggest you could try a dark blue strap, with white stiching, to match the hands? Ciao, Elio

Let me take a photo with my PG 1966 and then we can judge. I will not properly mount it but just put it on top if that's okay.

So here is a photo of my 1966 how it would look with a dark blue strap. I think it works too: To compare, with its brown strap it currently has. CC ...  

And probably even better on my Enamel dial due to the headed blue hands... But personally I prefer the brown! Best Blomman

and I also still have the stitchless black strap, but in principle the blue does work and BTW: I do have a heated blue hand too, okay only one

I like the new strap without stitches to compliment the wonderful head. Congrats on the year, a real testament of your love for the piece.
