It's not Ft Knox, that is in Kansas not on the East Coast as Peter has mentioned. It has to be a bank so I would say the Bank of New York or Secuities Exchange in NY?

Hhehe just kidding. My guess would be that this is a bank vault that is no longer used anymore. There's a place in NYC (I forgot name. I remember walking by it once) where the current business (was it a restaurant or some other type of business? i forgot)...
