many thanks for your votes on the other thread. It was a clear home-run for the White Gold version.

I will share my views after having spent a little bit wrist time with each of them.

First and foremost, there is no loser here: all three metal versions are splendid and it will come down to personal taste, however, there are some subtle differences I'd like to explain.

Let's start with the all Black version:

Now, at a first look, the all black seems to be the perfect choice as it goes well with the technical and futuristic idea of the watch. And in all black it is very cool looking.

What makes the black different from the other two is its weight, a very light watch for its size. I'm a bit torn if I actually prefer the heft of the gold cases...yeah, I do.

The element that most surprised me, was that while usually all black watches tend to look smaller on the wrist, somehow, here the opposite is true. It actually looks bigger as it seems to extend the black "dial" to a larger diameter. Being already a 46mm watch, that does not work to well for my small(ish) wrist, but for bigger wrists this may be the ideal choice.

Another thing I noticed is that GP uses a different strap on the black version. It is thinner and more flexibly attached to the case, which results that the strap bends in more on my wrist and makes the lugs look like they stick out. This can likely be changed with using the more padded strap from the gold versions.

Let's move on to the Pink Gold version.

Most have said that Pink Gold does not fit well with the concept of the watch and that was my initial thought as well.

However...

The more time you spend with the Pink Gold, it actually grows on you a lot. It gives a warm hue to the technical watch but even it is pink gold it will never come across as a dressy watch.

Ever wondered why the AP ROO is so popular in Pink Gold? It's the contrast I think (besides the fact that it looks more expensive, but that can be neglected with the GP Constant Escapement as every version is equally impressive)

I have to say, I'm at a point I cannot decide. The Pink Gold is surely a close contender as it provides something special.

As you can also see, it sits better on my wrist than the black version, which I think is largely due to the strap.

The winner by the popular vote was the White Gold:

What works particularly well is the colour combination with the purple silicon escapement.

I also find the grey dial an improvement over previous versions.

So whatever version in the end is the one you like most, all three are winners and there is no wrong choice. Wrist size does play a role when choosing and of course personal taste.
