it's the colourful time of the year again and this year it comes along with very warm temperatures like 25 C plus and blue sky sunshine.
So a great opportunity to take out some vintage GPs for wristshots like the Girard-Perregaux Deep Diver 7897. This is the black dial version from 1962 and was the first GP diver with rotating bezel.
A watch I like very much!

it is not patina. The dial is flawless. The black paint on the dial is a bit grainy and it is just the sunlight that reflects it like this.
That is lovely!
I love the way they designed the case kinda followed the shape of the crystal, it looks like the aquapod....
