A very nice Vintage Girard Perregaux Chronograph.

We learn every day, and when it comes to the Vinage GP world, it is even more true!

While I am desperately hunting the Chronograph which inspired Girard Perregaux for the 1966 Chronograph we know, a friend came with this one:

Doesn't it sound familiar to you?

Look at this one ( the one on your right, a Type XX from Breguet ) :

A kind of Type XX from GP!

Its owner told me that this Chrono housed a Valjoux 720.

Another one to directly go to my wish list!

Best,

Nicolas

I dare to say that I like the GP hands more than this amazing Breguet XX. Thanks for another lesson on Vlad's school. Cheers, Nilo

A lesson I learned myself before sharing it with you, my friend. ;)

A discovery for me, too, and a nice, very nice one. To hunt along with an early Olimpico and an original 66 Chrono. Best, Nicolas, trapped...

Beautiful GP Nicolas, I am really amazed at the similarities.....

between the GP and the Breguet, apart from minor details like the minutes counter they really look like coming out of the same manufacture! Amazing and beautiful. Have a good Easter. Cheers, Francois

Very nice!

We could call it a clone of the Breguet, who was first? Nice to know/discover the roots of today's horlogery. Thanks for sharing. Vte :)
