Girard-Perregaux Constant Escapement L.M. reference: 93500-52-731-BA6D This is a review I have had a lot of trouble writing. Not because I don’t like the watch or anything like that… The problem is that to understand this watch you need to understand more...  

First of all, I must repeat that I totally Under appreciated this Watch, when it came out, last year. I felt, on pictures, that it was bulky, way too big, and well, the a priori was quite negative. Then I saw it in th flesh, and the proportions worked for... 

And I must confess that I have not been able to grasp all yet. The good thing is that now I have another reason to go back to the Manufacture...! ;) As I stated in the end of the review, this is my first take on this watch, I will definitely come back to ...

The video made it very clear. If I understand correctly, the 'blade', or more precisely 'wire' running across horizontally acts as a second hairspring, like the new AP Chronometer, where it gives a counter impulse to to that of the balance wheel/hairsprin...

and understand better how it works. I really do like this watch, the case design, the dial layout, the impeccable finish, the famous bridges and the technical prowess, what a feast. I prefer the white gold version, it is more "masculine" while the rose go...

Look closely on the lugs of all their watches over over 44 mm. They have a very special "curve" which makes the wearer feel comfortable. Best Blomman

Thank you, Francois! :) Well, in teory GP should be able to make a smaller version with the current movement. Not sure if there are some technical issues against this, but the current movement is 39.20 mm. So, in theory, a 44-45 mm watch should be possibl...

The escapement is a great piece of design and engineering, simple in concept but complex in execution. Thank you for the review. I may have the pleasure of seeing one of these in the metal next week, I look forward to that. As far as my preference, I also... 

I hope you will have the chance to see this one in the metal. It is a high end engineering at it's best! :) But, I have to warn you - to see this one only once is not enough. You need to see this one many times before really grasping the essence of the wa... 

Thanks for the review: I have always found this to be one of the most interesting watches released in the last few years. Unfortunately even with the curved lugs I'm afraid that it's not for my wrist, but then again, it's also not for my wallet! ;) I usua... 

I noticed that and spoke with GP about it. To clarify - the prower reserve goes from left = full, to right = empty. That is the same on both WG and the PG version. On the first WG prototypes it was the other way around, which makes the confusion. Thank yo...
