Totally agree.

Though I often like newer versions. But GP definitely improved the styling of the Laureato. And mechanical is more soulful. Oh no! I’m turning into a Vampire!

Depends on the specific model!

I love the espace quartz edition with the clear caseback and the unique complications. That definitely is better but the new models i think are pretty too! ...

Was between AP, VC and PP. they ditched it in the end. Rolex came out with its own Ouster quartz. AP, PP used JLC mechanical movements. Then tried quartz again. VC used a GP for their overseas gen 1. All this as my memory serves me … which is sometimes a ...

It depends … there is the cheap everyday quartz and there is the iconic first of a kind etc type. I consider the first laureato in quartz to be in the iconic league. Similar to the Rolex oyster quartz. I believe only 1,500 made and very much prized amongs...

I like them both. The modern laureato carries the DNA of the first which is important. Quartz at the time was the difficult one to do. GP had the best. Japanese even license it from them. So the quartz was bold. No one else dared take on the Japanese head...
