(GP NEW MODELS) Reference 49860 - the "Lady WW.TC"

 

G'day,

stunning news ahead for all female watch enthusiasts who enjoy frequent travelling; during SIHH, Girard-Perregaux will unveil a new model dedicated to the lady fans:

This new model listens to reference 49860 or "ww.tc Lady" and make for a practical watch, in that it will extend GP´s successfull line of world time models with a range of feminine models.

The new reference 49860 indicates the hours, minutes, (small) seconds, power reserve and of course the world time by using GP´s propietory world time mechanism referring to 24 time zones.
This model sports a case of 41mm diameter, which may be regarded quite large. But it wouldn´t be a GP if the design didn´t think of smaller female wrist:



Personally i like the approach and given female enthusiasts fly on full-size men´s models lately (think: Panerai), i´m sure a first-hand encounter with the new Lady WW.TC will put the sheer measurements in relation. Try one before judging from paper specs!

And there´s quite some reason to look forward to it, particularly as it comes with or without gemsetting and both in rose gold (left) and steel (right):




The new 49860 picks up some design key details of GP´s award-winning "Cat´s Eye" line, therefore i´m sure it will be a nice addition and a beautiful piece in nature!
