F.P. Journe

New Member, Long Time Reader

Good evening,

My name is Nabil. I have been reading this forum for quite awhile without posting and I want to finally introduce myself. Today will be the day that I admit my problem. I must have a Journe. The watches are so artistically beautiful. I get lost in the dials and the movements (Resonance is my favorite). Its clear to me from reading this forum that there is one and only one solution. Buy one.

There is another problem. I just graduated from college. I was blessed with getting an outstanding job out of college. There is no doubt that I worked hard to get it, but luck (as in most things) helped. I want the CS, and I can afford used RG without cutting back on anything. The opportunity cost however is savings. I know this sounds crazy and I am trying to rationalize it such as:

I have enough savings to live off of for a few months if I am out of the job.
I can always sell it. It may not be the most liquid asset, but I can sell it quickly if need be ( I think).
I know it wont lose A LOT of value. I know it will probably loose a few grand but I am ok with that.

This is probably a dumb move (if I do it). I just wanted to know if I am THAT crazy.

I apologize in advance if this post will rub some people the wrong way if it is too detailed about my situation. I admire everyones passion and I hope to eventually be as knowledgeable as the rest of you in the future. I know I will be more of a lurker/reader than a poster since I am not yet an owner. I just felt obligated to finally introduce myself so I can ask more questions about Journe and his beautiful pieces in the future.

Thank you taking the time to read this and I hope to learn as much as possible from everyone here.

(Re-reading what I just wrote, I think I am crazy)
