Thank you guys for the responses! Here are my thoughts so far, but of course taste is very personal.
Observation #1: The vermouth really matters. Carpano Classico was ok, but other two were really good, and worth the extra $$. Punt e Mes is a little darker, heavier, and more mature than Carpano Antica.. The Antica had more complex flavors, very tasty, more sweet but perhaps leaning towards syrupy, It took a few drinks back to back to pick a favorite, but I lean towards Punt E Mes.
Observation #2: Both gins are great. The Monkey 47 is above and beyond due to its complexity, which is apparent even through the Campari. But it’s almost double the price. Quality per price will be a very personal decision.
