F.P. Journe

after an eternity of grey weather. It was an invitation to take a long walk with the F.P. Journe Chronometre Souverain to keep me company. One of my all time favorite watches in my collection. A great Sunday to everyone.... ...  

I was soaking up every sun ray ☀️😄

You know how well and easy it sits on the wrist.

But I forgot to shoot it, as I was walking. But I just heard we will have an other day of good weather next month and I promise to shoot it then 😝😄

Simply perfect

Mr. Journe made a sublime watch here. He managed to find his own original take on a simple chronometer watch. In fact, I think it offers a lot for the price you pay. And I need to emphasize just how accurate it is. It is dead sharp, with less than +1 sec/... 

The dial is also very good.

The legend goes, that he started his design process with the layout of the dial. It is both harmonious and dynamic. I love how he shrinks the numbers instead of cutting them. A small detail I really fell in love with (I dislike cut numbers on watch dials)... 

And I have loved it ever since. I am not the first owner. That was a very well respected collector who unfortunately passed away. Mine has a very low serial no. I dont know if it is the first batch, but one of the first. I think it shows a little bit in t...

Classic piece Enjoy

It really is a classic. I never get tired of this watch. It was my daily piece for years, but the collection has since grown. I still wear it often as it is both versatile and elegant and super comfortable in the wrist.

The Chronometre Bleu, which I also have and absolutely love, is highly popular right now. But this one is more versatile. It is so well balanced. I wear mine a lot. Sometimes for months at a time.
