I am going crazy trying to decide between 2 watches: the RG "Automatique" and the "Lune". . I prefer simple dials with easy-to-read time, so the Autmatique with blue hands and black numbers, without the "lune function" should be an easy choice. I sense th...  

This is DEFINITELY a 'no wrong answers' situation... but I really love the intentional use of empty dial space on the Octa dial, and that's at its strongest in the Automatique.

Power reserve alone is taking too much space. The moonphase is a welcoming and cool complicatiom. For me clearly the second one 🤗

I like the use of empty space in that model.

In Japan where I live, space is traditionally a part of good design. In this case, though, I opted for the moonphase Lune because I don't have one.

That’s a lot of red gold with case and dial. The blue of the Lune adds some contrast to it. And I have taken a liking to the added numerals. Lune for me.

Good luck getting an allocation. Sold out for a while I hear.

Because If You ended up bought the non-Lune Then You willat some point feel like You should have got the Lune. I have bought the Octa RG Lune with the newest moon version(nasa) I feel that I have made super good decision! Trust me, Go for the Lune. You wi... 

I first chose the Automatique and then went back and forth trying to decide if I made the right decision for me. I finally decided on the Lune and haven't looked back.

Can't go wrong with either. There are "pros" and "cons" in both, and truth be told they are not real "pros" nor "cons" as it's just down to personal preferences, which vary hugely from person to person. So, just get the one you can get now, since it's bas... 

I am the OP and it's interesting to read the good comments here. Thanks. I will confess that I orginally requested to have the Automatique because the dial is simpler and what I generally prefer. But as soon as I left the boutique, I couldn't get the Lune... 

I tell you that new moon disk is so beautiful.

I like moonphase complications. And the details of the moon on that piece are superb. The blue also adds a nice contrast to the dial. It will pair nicely with a blue strap. I have my name down for that piece but in Platinum.

I know where to get one made, but I have to get the watch first! ha ha (tears, tears)

If you are getting the watch from a boutique, they will put it on any color strap you want. They might even give you a second one at no extra cost.

Thanks, I didn't about the strap option. I will look into it when the "big day" arrives.

I see why the Lune is a popular model. It really is a looker.
