Journe, two ways.
One a classic Journe in terms of design language, time on sub dials. In this case two, a Resonance. And the other a traditional layout, but with the quirk of an offset sub seconds. And importantly nicely executed slim cases on both. Lots to love in both. ...

One cannot avoid being smitten by the craftsmanship of F.P. Journe, his watches, the horology deeply embedded in history of watchmaking. I do believe he is one of the greatest watchmaker in our time. I am fortuned to own some of his watches.
I remember walking up from subway at Union Square in what, must have been 1999/2000 when the guys were putting up the PR piece on the telephone both (remember those?)
I must have been one of the first customers in the NY boutique back then.. I was like: Oh, those are great, but please let me know when you make 'em in 40mm's 🧐😜😩 (All the pieces were all in 38mm) Anyway, I embrace and enjoy the game with everything above...
There’s a good crossover from Journe to LB, for obvious reasons.
I’d love to own one of his pieces, but unfortunately too big for my wrist.
At 41mm in PT, it is indeed substantial, but doesn't wear top heavy though

I got blown away when I got the chance to play with HT. I knew I'd be weak in my knees upfront, but I just couldn't have resisted once I saw it in its metal heft and all.

I think one can easily regret an F.P. you did not buy, but not one you bought. I was once offered a CB for about 20k. A great no buy I regret. Ludovic Ballouard worked for 7 years for F.P if I remember correctly, so he has learned something from the great...

I ran in to him and his wife at Only Watch and had a nice chat… This was the watch he was wearing. The dial is Lapis ...

A bit of a teaser: soft and slightly out of focus, with only half the watches showing. As for the watches themselves: nothing more I can say.
