Very Interesting...

 

I too, in addition to my passion for FPJ, am an avid fan of RM.  I have maintained my Tourbillon with Remontoir, but sold a PT datograph and Resonance in part of a trade on an RM 002 V2 in WG.  I miss the look of the Resonance (winding was a problem for me - but what a watch!) and would repurchase if Mr. Journe decides to change the winding crown position, however unlikely sad 

However, the 002 was over-the-top great.  This brand is great for my more casual lifestyle.  In fact, I just purchased a preowned 005 FM as an upscale beater...  Will post pic's on the RM site this weekend.

That 011 is hot!  Not sure if the dial will be too buisy when I see one in the metal in 08', but it will be a charmer.  Will look at it and the new Centigraph - a tough (but good) choice for me to think about smile

Both FPJ and RM are complimentary brands.  So very different, but similar brilliance.  Both Wonderful!

Dead Seconds?

Recently sold my Patek 5970 and deliberating on whether should pickup a pre-owned FPJ dead seconds in PT with PG face. I bought the 5970 sight unseen and ended up selling it after 3 months because it saw almost no wrist time - a combination of it leaving ...

By the way I forgot to mention that since I already own an Octa Reserve de Marche (PG/PG) I am wondering if the addition of the tourbillon is redundant and perhaps i should look at something quite different in order to 'diversify' as you can see, lots of ... 

Resonance and Dead Seconds are very different indeed...

Your question stems areound wrist time... The Resonance is as wonderful with jeans and a polo shirt as it is with a Brioni suit. The Dead Seconds, IMHO, is much dressier. However, for many people, the Resonance is a pain to wind (that is why I sold mine) ...

I keep hearing about the original tourbillon with remontoir being very hard to find, there are two on ebay that have been for sale for months.

I ended up passing on the tourbillon and going with an RM011. I have an RM010 and its fantastic, and the addition of the flyback chrono and annual calendar to it would make it a perfect watch for me at this point. So I put a stiff deposit on one of the fi...

I completely agree with your comment about RM and Journe being complimentary products/brands. From my strictly limited technical knowledge about the Resonance, the crown has to be positioned at a point where the two movements meet because (I assume) you a...

The Resonance, truly, is beautiful watch with both its movement and dial. The crown used to reset the seconds hands is at 4:00 while the crown used to wind and set time is at 12:00. When winding, I found the easiest way to do so was to hold the watch upsi...
