The RD/WG is my favorite combination in all models...
I saw this Chrono in the Tokyo boutique last year and it knocked me out...
And this is a photo of the Calendrier that I've posted previously that I currently own.
To me, the RG/RG can be a little blingy, while the light gray dial really tones down the RG case while retaining its warmth.

Hi Brad, You're right, they are certainly two completely different watches depending on the case metals. The Pt is much brighter yet austere, while the RG a bit warmer, toning down the dial a bit. Hope you enjoy. Kind Regards, Stephen...
