T-10

Manufactured in 2013 and limited to 10 examples, this platinum piece commemorates the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Tokyo boutique (hence the ‘T’ In ‘T-10’) as well as the establishment of the 10th international F. P. Journe boutique - in Beirut.

The case is 40mm in diameter and the design is reminiscent of the pocket watch François Paul Journe created in his youth.

Unlike Journe’s other tourbillon watches, the tourbillon is not visible on the dial side. However, thanks to the transparent sapphire caseback, it and the rose gold movement are there for one to flip over and admire. Students of history will see the influence that Breguet and George Daniels had in the creation of this movement. The movement beats away at 21,600 vibrations per hour and features two parallel power barrels which provide 56 hours of power. I especially like the pronounced blued screws.
