F.P. Journe story

Hi guys, some of you may remember this watch. It's a F.P. Journe Chronometre Optimum with a white mother of pearl dial. At the time this was the only one that had ever been produced in this combination. It was something really special to me, especially si...

There is something romantic about a MOP dial imo .

Yes there is something special about any MOP dial.

I’m not specifically an Journe fan (because of the hype), but I would sale my kidneys before parting with this watch!

It’s a gorgeous piece indeed, but maybe one day your paths will cross again...🙏

The kidneys are long gone!

I remember yours coming up for sale!

Indeed it’s a magnificent piece and super super super cool 😎 At the time I couldn’t afford it but it was definitely on my radar for a while... Lets all hope we can see it back on this site....

Thank you.

Yes, it sat up for sale for a while with some amazing trade opportunities but unfortunately I needed to sell.

Absolutely beautiful piece!

Sad to hear it had to go, but I'm sure the future is bright for you and your business!

Thank you :)

I appreciate your kind words. You have to take the risks to reap the rewards, I would have hated to have sat back and always wondered what if?

I am not a MOP guy, but this one is a looker!

The backside? Pure art...

Superb photos of a gorgeous FPJ

The one with the fountain pen is particularly awesome (but I could not recognize the pen...). Thanks for sharing, keep them coming

It's a dream watch for me, the first Optimum I truly fell for was also a MOP (a little different to yours, darker).

You did the right thing, no question. I do recall chatting when you had listed it. It really is amazing how perception and demand can change so quickly.

The CO is such an amazing piece. I loved how loud it was haha

Yes, I remember chatting with you, it wasn't so long ago!

Hi Jarrod. I remember it very well.

I’ve often wished I had the funds to buy it from you. It’s a spectacular dial. At least you have owned something truly special. I hope it has given you a great experience and some good memories. Your pictures are amazing. Investing in your life is always ...

Thank you Christian,

I actually wish that you had purchased it as I would be able to see it more often on here. I am happy with my choice as it was following my dream but also look forward to being able to add another piece from FPJ again in the future. Until then I have the ...

Yes the black MOP is the more popular choice amongst collectors.

I enjoyed the white as the colour was very subtle unless in the correct lighting.

Someone just posted one like this on IG today...

Not sure if part of a personal collection or for sale. Gorgeous piece.

I did see that photo.

I believe that one is the white jade dial. You can tell the difference by the two separate pieces of jade to construct the dial. Look at 3 and 9 on the dial and you will understand what I mean.

Ah! I see the difference.

You are very lucky to have ever owned it, and best of luck in your business venture!
