I went for another in blue dial that I personally found more captivating and inspiring at the time. I keep wondering whether I should have bought the Chronomètre Bleu instead back in the days…!

I saw this one at their boutique in Geneva a few years ago before the market went crazy. The iridescent blue as shown on your picture comes out only when viewed from certain narrow angles, whereas in most other circumstances the dial looks mostly dark blue or even black. If my observation is wrong, please let me know as I only had the chance to see the watch in the boutique near a window on a relatively cloudy day.

One of the most overhyped watches of all time

And for good reason! A good dealer friend let me borrow this beauty just so that I could appreciate the dial. Truly stunning. ...

Very true

Still selling for crazy numbers though, in my opinion

Yep, right.

And it just gets better and better with time. A true keeper. Overhyped- I don’t think so as it is still very sought after.

This is very true

I just saw your post of the Jaeger and remarked about the blueness of the dial!

Yes, it changes in different light.

It is quite captivating to be honest.

I would love to see a list or pics of the best blue dials ever made.

I bet the CB is near the top of that list.

I would like to also mention early Lange 1 ref 101.027

Back a decade ago I was choosing between CB and this Lange and decided I prefer the latter. It has 2 beautiful hues of blue on the dial and, although the market is favoring CB, I am very happy about my choice.
