Finally a bit of sun on my Chronometre Souverain

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-08:11
after an eternity of grey weather. It was an invitation to take a long walk with the F.P. Journe Chronometre Souverain to keep me company. One of my all time favorite watches in my collection. A great Sunday to everyone.... ...

Yes, excellent company. Thank you for your kind words, BMR

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-09:22
I was soaking up every sun ray โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜„

Thank you, my friend ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-09:24
You know how well and easy it sits on the wrist.

Thank you dear Nico - you are right

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-09:27
But I forgot to shoot it, as I was walking. But I just heard we will have an other day of good weather next month and I promise to shoot it then ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜„

Cool! [nt]

Oh Captain, My Captain!

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-09:29
Thank you for your nice words, my friend.

I think the words are justified...

 By: Cpt Scarlet : February 24th, 2019-09:31
Simply perfect

You are absolutely right and spot on

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-09:54
Mr. Journe made a sublime watch here. He managed to find his own original take on a simple chronometer watch. In fact, I think it offers a lot for the price you pay. And I need to emphasize just how accurate it is. It is dead sharp, with less than +1 sec/...

You make some good points about this watch...

 By: Cpt Scarlet : February 24th, 2019-10:02
The dial is also very good.

Yes, I love the layout

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-10:17
The legend goes, that he started his design process with the layout of the dial. It is both harmonious and dynamic. I love how he shrinks the numbers instead of cutting them. A small detail I really fell in love with (I dislike cut numbers on watch dials)...

I got this one in 2010

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-14:50
And I have loved it ever since. I am not the first owner. That was a very well respected collector who unfortunately passed away. Mine has a very low serial no. I dont know if it is the first batch, but one of the first. I think it shows a little bit in t...

Thank you Christian...

 By: Cpt Scarlet : February 24th, 2019-14:56
Thatโ€™s very interesting. Owner experience is always the best information in my opinion.

I really hope we can get that going here

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-14:59
again, you are completely right, my friend. Its a small brand, and a small crowd. (relatively) But I hope we can get a good thing going here and learn from each other

Iโ€™m hoping that the Journe forum goes from strength to strength...

 By: Cpt Scarlet : February 24th, 2019-15:08
Great quality that should be supported within our forum.

I promise I will work for that :-)

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-15:33
Thank You for your support my friend!

Sunny Sunday- thatโ€™s it โ˜€๏ธ

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-09:31
Simple but beautiful- thank you ๐Ÿ™

Certainly a wonderful company for a sunny weekend

Classic piece Enjoy

I think you hit the spot

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-09:39
It really is a classic. I never get tired of this watch. It was my daily piece for years, but the collection has since grown. I still wear it often as it is both versatile and elegant and super comfortable in the wrist.

Mike, dear riend

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-09:36
Thank You so much for your words. It means a lot to me. But what is even better, is that I must congratulate you also!!!! I was so happy when I was told the news. We have an old appointment to meet in Paris. Letโ€™s make it happen this spring ๐Ÿ˜Š

We have a deal ๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™ve bought one but got to pick it in person from my next trip to US. Best, Mahesh.,

So glad to hear that, Mahesh

You will absolutely love it. Pt or Rg?

Pt

 By: mahesh : February 24th, 2019-11:32
white metal helps to keep it discrete!

+1

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-12:04
but the red gold sure is beautiful also!

It is...just that

 By: mahesh : February 24th, 2019-12:08

 By: ChristianDK : February 24th, 2019-12:11
perhaps a bit more versatile ;-)

Probably my 2nd most favourite Journe....

 By: Topcat30093 : February 25th, 2019-23:39
The first being the Black Label Calendrier that I very foolishly sold and one of my biggest regrets! One day I hope...................

I understand you feelings...

 By: ChristianDK : February 26th, 2019-00:55
Oh, boy - you let your Black Label Calendrier go. That one turned out so well and it is of my favorite watches in the Black Label series. You might be interested in paying a visit to the Patrimoine section on the F.P. Journe website ;-)

I know....

Need my head examined!

Thank you, RG. Yes, I agree. I never get tired of this watch.

 By: ChristianDK : February 26th, 2019-00:48
The Chronometre Bleu, which I also have and absolutely love, is highly popular right now. But this one is more versatile. It is so well balanced. I wear mine a lot. Sometimes for months at a time.
