Same strap and same model which I tried on a few weeks ago. It belonged to one of the employees. I wonder if it's the same watch? ...
You also can tell this is the latest version by the position of the date window and the larger crown

It might look better, but it might be hard to read...
Aesthetically, dates are difficult to make them look good. I can see why many people with good taste decided to forgo the date. But I do know that people who buy watches ask for the date all the time since it's a practical thing to have.

The ruthenium models are a good example. The date color matches the dial and is pretty legible.

I've only seen a non date ruthenium watch, so I didn't think about that! Good point!
This is my only complaint about this watch.
If the date wheel was the same color as the dial it would be perfect.
