Zeitwerk gets a wingman [OT]
We all know that ALS do many things exceptionally well, but manufacturing sports watches is not one of them. It's just not part of the brand.
Although my Zeitwerk is certainly no safe-queen, I just don't fancy wearing it on those less formal occasions or when there's an increased risk of damage!
So, the hunt was on for a sporty-looking, quality timepiece that was 'bullet-proof' for those everyday activities - a kind of 'wingman' for the ZW, to protect it on those rougher days
It didn't take long to ascertain that pieces by Richard Mille met my remit and having tried on a RM 027 RN it didn't take long to make a decision - I loved it and I wanted one, but at around US$500,000 for the Rafa special edition, there was no way I could ever afford one!
However, an entry level RM 010 Ti was a compromise I could very much live with - until, at least, ALS enter the sports market!
Roughing it downtown Chicago
Enjoy the pics!
Cheers,
Dave

The RM is a nice addition to the Zeitwerk. They represent two very different ways of creating a high-end watch. I would say that the RM is an original watch with a classic time display while the zeitwerk is a classic watch with an original time display. Y...

2 Very different brands with very different philosophies! But one thing that they have in common is that their watches are all very true to their DNA! Huge congrats! It's a mighty duo!
Thanks all...

... for your comments - I love the way RM has muscled in on my small - but (for PinkPanther) not just 2-piece collection! It's a great piece - check out RM 'in-the-metal' next time you get the chance and you'll see what I mean. Cheers, Dave
