Winding
I am a relatively new UN (Marine Chronometer 1846) owner and due to my activities I do not wear my watch all the time. When I am expecting to be in my workshop (making violins) for an extended period of time I remove it, often for a few weeks at a time.
The question is, do I have to always wind the hours hand (over and over and over) until the date is correct or is there an easier way, short of purchasing a winder?
