I visited Worn & Wound’s Wind Up fair in San Francisco. Although most of the featured brands are not in my wheelhouse, I went in with an open mind. I was extremely impressed with Monta, particularly their Triumph field watch. Very thoughtful design, well-executed, and legitimately nice guys at the helm. But the primary reason I went out was for Monta’s sister brand for straps, Everest. As a lover of Panerai’s rubber straps, I wanted to get a feel for Everest’s rubber straps in person. They did not disappoint—extremely supple and comfortable on the wrist, and unlike any rubber strap I’ve felt, whether Panerai, AP, etc. They’re on my list for sure. I did walk away with a handy W&W keychain strap change tool. All in all, a great event.
Did any of you attend?
