Update on the donation thread for Nicolas' replacement Air King
For anyone who missed it, we are trying to raise about (60) $100 contributions for our Friend and PPro Moderator Nicolas, who recently had his Rolex Air King stolen.
Currently, we have 46 commitments to donate. Thanks to all of the generous members who are pledging.
(2) members have graciously offered to donate $300 each, but for now, I am just counting everyone as a $100 donation.
We are trying to work on the logistics of where to send the money, how to buy the watch, etc. Several European members have messaged me to recommend the watch is purchased in Europe so we do not have to worry about any importation fee. This makes good sense. One European member has offered to collect the payments - method TBD - after we have the necessary funds to continue.
If anyone has a connection to purchase the watch in Europe at a better price, please reply. No, we do not typically discuss discounts on this website, but we are trying to help a Friend. If we can source the watch for a lower cost, we are much closer to where we need to be.

We are many who have benefited from Nicolas huge knowledge, warm kindness and hospitality. He is the single biggest contributor on this site. So come on folks! Let us do this for our friend. If anyone deserves such a gesture it’s Nicolas.
