Tough choice...
Blankpairn Leman GMT Alarm, JLC Extreme World W-Alarm or JLC Master Compressor Geographic?
In a week I will go for a short shopping trip and one of these watches will follow me as my travel companion on the planes. I will buy a SS watch with SS bracelet.
It is a tough choice and I would appreciate your input and thoughts.

I went through a very similar experience about 18 months ago. I actually purchased the Blancpain GMT alarm and liked the alarm gauge and separate alarm clock. BUT I could not easily read the GMT hand without having to really focus on it, and I am only 25 ...

My choice between these watches would be the Blancpain. But I guess on the JLC forum you get many votes for the MC pieces. Put them on your wrist a few times and go for what suits you best. Both are fine brands with great history. Assuming quality is alik...

The JLC models that you are looking at DO NOT have display backs although the crests are very nice. The Blancpain DOES have a display back so you can see the rotor and movement when you are not wearing the watch!
MC Geographic Back
The JLC MC Geo might not have a display back, but the rose gold inlay makes up for it....

the caseback on the MC series is nice but not more pleasing than an exposed 'alive' movement.
