Several weeks ago, I posted a few photos whilst out on the sea, here's some closer photos...
Latest arrival into the stable. A 1972 1665 DRSD - Mk IV dial. 1972 - a good year (my year of birth!!)
Patina is starting to arrive, but the bezel has a really nice fade to it - just perfect in my opinion.
The old and the new (well, new-ish, a 2007 16600), and with period underwater cameras.
and now here comes the difficult decision, which red writing to wear for the weekend!!? Joined here with my 1970 Mk5 dial 1680.

There is something so alluring about the red text - always drawing your eye to it!!

Triple Red is not common!
Congratulations, my friend. A DRSD is something to seriously consider when you collect Vintage rolex. A kind of unavoidable reference, and you did it! Bravo. Enjoy it! Best, Nicolas.

....yes unavoidable.... You think you have it cracked when you get a Red Sub, but still, when you see all of the Double Reds being displayed, it always calls to you, and this one did! (plus, considering my first Rolex was my 16600 SeaDweller bought new in...
Now, the question is to know if you will go on a Triple 6.
