Are you resembling one of the below?

Then I have THE GP for you, one of the first Quartz GPs from the early 1970ties, Reference 9666.

I was able to pick one of those up recently from a seller in Chile. It’s in near mint condition, it had a GP full service at the manufacture in the 90ties and after all it is an important piece of GP history.
While we and me included, love the horology art of mechanical watches, we cannot totally ignore the time period of the early Quartz developments. In retrospect we know that this almost killed the entire industry, but let’s face it, it were the Swiss who really did the breakthrough development of Quartz wristwatches and in particular GP.
Reference 9666 is a great looking watch that has this coolness factor and vintage appeal that any Hipster would love to strap this on. The case design is unique with being round from the back but almost rectangular on the dial. The most prominent feature is the crown position at 7:30h.
I can’t show you the caliber right now, my opener is broken and I need to get a new one, but enjoy the rest of the photos.
