Sunday walk

We are still blessed with blue sky and warm weather, pretty much perfect for a relaxed walk in a Japanese park.

As you can see, most of the leaves are still green, I suspect it will take another 2-3 weeks to enjoy a full blown fall yellow & red livery:

As is often the case in Japan, the park was spotless. Kudos to the staff in charge of maintenance:

Mandatory orange carp shot!

A Japanese watch seemed appropriate. Enamel dial, polished titanium case, 8L21 movement. This was my first more formal and expensive watch stepping up from an skx007:

The large pond seems to be a favorite of nearby ducks:

It was sunbathing time for the turtle gang:

I don't grow flowers at home but I can appreciate the work that must have gone into growing the below chrysanthemums. The last photo, an atsubashiri chrysanthemum, was stunning in person:

Nothing like a good fire, even if a bit scary in a wooden house. I do miss the smell and warmth of an old fashioned fireplace:

The late afternoon sunlight provided ample opportunities to play with geometric lines:

That's it for today. As a parting shot a close-up showing the sunken central section of the enamel dial.
