SUF VB77
OK so in the past 6-12 months my collection has suffered a lot of changes, first I was looking for color dials, now black watches.
The latest trend is black watches from "established" brands, meaning that micros no longer appeal to me that much, except for Sarpaneva Uhren Fabrik, which I've had a couple before but never sticked. (180 was too small and the Myrsky Megamatt was not very legible)Now I think this is a keeper and fits nicely in the collection, it is the VB77. This model is dedicated to Valtteri Bottas, the finish F1 driver. Normally I don't like co-branded watches and I don't really follow F1 news (except for the occasional Checo Perez headliner) but this doesn't have the Valtteri name anywhere on the dial, only the VB on the caseback. The color combination is great, the detail of the partial skeleton dial and date wheel is a cool touch along with the serrated teeth-like bezel and crown. This model has the classic Sarpaneva Devils Tail hands which is a huge plus for me, hard to get at this price point from the finnish watchmaker.Yes, the price is no doubt very high, but I think is worth it. 77 pieces made and the quality is there.Measures 44mm in diameter, 22mm lug width and a massive 54mm lug to lug, around 10mm thick.I think I can pull it off but you guys tell me!Anyway, here's the pictures!
